Hiring Metrics
The hiring process is key to a highly functioning sales organization. Having the right sales person can make all the difference, and the cost of hiring the wrong sales person can be astronomical. Our highly trained staff work collaboratively with the organization to create sales position profiles to be used in future hiring. These profiles are powered by a statistically valid and statistically accurate tool legal for use in hiring under laws regarding psychological testing in North America. Sales organizations administer the tool to their job candidates and Sage Portfolio Group offers consulting, reports, interview questions and recommendations. These hiring metrics help take the guesswork out of sales hiring and help better the odds of choosing the best candidate for the job.
Step 1: Meet with management to fully understand the sales position. Next we create a sales profile and facilitated discussion if there are several decision makers.
Step 2: We profile top performing employees who have been at the company for about three years. If they have been there longer, they may be successful based on previous market conditions or because they have persevered over time. We want to find the profiles of top producers who have excelled relatively quickly.
Step 3: We compare the profiles of the top producers to the job profile (or profiles) and then make any adjustments necessary.
Step 4: The organization integrates candidate profiling into their hiring practices (legal under psychological testing in the US and Canada).
Step 5: Questions are generated as the profiles are compared to the job and challenging questions are asked candidates during the interview process to illuminate weaknesses compared to the job profile.
