Designing Your Program
The team assessment and team systems exercises provide a framework for the work that Sage Portfolio Group does with teams, but the scope of the program is determined in part by the resources available to the team and the hoped-for outcomes. There is always an in-person workshop component, which is interactive, appeals to a diversity of adult learning styles, and offers time to both reflect and practice. Venues are chosen in consultation with the client: some prefer a retreat format, while others prefer to host the workshop at the place of business.
Want to sample the program without a substantial investment? We recommend a half-day introduction which does not include a team assessment but does provide the team with valuable skills and insights into areas of strength and growth.
Interested in baseline data, focused de-brief and initial practice for the team? The one-day program offered by Sage Portfolio Group combines an examination of results from the team assessment with specific exercises that will build the team’s capacity for productivity and positivity.
Want more depth, a greater variety of exercises and more time to practice new skills and build the team? The two-day de-brief offered by Sage Portfolio Group expands the number of exercises. It also offers an intensive segment in Day Two where team members work in-depth on real-life business problems using skills that have been learned in the session.
Like the idea of an in-depth program but can’t spare full days? Sage Portfolio Group has experienced success working with teams in shorter, cumulative segments. The scope of the program is the same as a one-or-two day session, but the delivery mechanism is adjusted to meet organizational time constraints. Due to the need for additional travel, this program works well only for organizations based in southern Ontario.
Sage Portfolio Group always provides an opportunity for the team to design necessary follow-up based on the issues and opportunities identified through the in-person workshop. Add-ons to increase retention, allow for practice and additional real-life application include monthly group-format telephone coaching, one-on-one coaching through our coaching gym and follow-up in-person sessions. The scope of the program can evolve over time, as value is determined and needs are identified.
